A New Haven Design

My name is Hillary Kelly

I am so thankful for the wonderful opportunity to illustrate greeting cards and prints, calendars and more. I am following a mixture of my own musings and feedback from my wonderful customers as I add more and more to my offerings - stay tuned!

Through art, I love celebrating aspects of Maines natural beauty, care and connection between fellow beings, and the sweet, silly and cozy side of life. Always hand drawing my designs on paper to begin, I use a mixture of colored pencil, ink, and digital illustration to complete my designs. My process is ever evolving and I hope very much to apply my illustrating to children's books one day soon!

Having grown up in small towns, I deeply cherish the beautiful quilt of human connections I've experienced in my life. Many of my greeting cards are inspired by a friend or family member or has a sentiment I'd love to send to someone particular in mind.

The name A New Haven Design stems from my deep gratitude for my home that feels like haven with my husband and daughter. I do not take for granted having a safe home, supportive friends/family, good employment, somewhere to garden, or the privilege to explore art making. I feel so lucky to donate a portion of my yearly profits to Homeworthy (formerly Knox County Homeless Coalition) in hopes of assisting others to find their way to their own new haven. One of safety, stability, self sufficiency and connection to others.
